Grants available for Marion agencies providing substance abuse prevention services

Marion County is currently accepting proposals for grant funding that will benefit local agencies that provide alcohol and substance abuse prevention, education, and treatment services.

According to the county, grants will be awarded to qualifying programs based on the following criteria: the length of time the program has been in existence, the program’s success, the number of citizens that are served annually by the program, and the available grant funds.

A total of $25,000 is available through the Marion County Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Trust Fund, and these funds will be provided on a reimbursement basis for programs taking place from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025.

Agencies interested in receiving grant funding have until March 29, 2024, to submit a proposal.
